Flamenco Dance (Light / Audio Production / Dj)

This past week TatemTunes was at the Spanish Embassy providing lights and audio for a live Flamenco performance. In between the Dance sets we were the DJs as well.

 

This was my first time seeing Flamenco dancers and I was VERY impressed by the guitar player as much as the dancers. Check out Rodrigo y Gabriella this guitar player was playing just like them.

 

Wedding season coming to an end! But wow this band!

It has been a busy past couple months but Wedding season for me at least... is coming to an end. Last weekend was a relaxing event setting up sound and microphones for a wedding. I was not the entertainment for the night but I was grateful I was there. Bands are no doubt my competition when you can afford one like this!  I got some iphone footage but it does not do them justice so check out there promo video below they were amazing to see live.  

 

Time to relax.....

Just arrived in Maine to take the week off for vacation. It is beautiful here although I am looking forward to my upcoming events when i get back.

Class Reunion

The Howard Pharmaceutical Class of 98' had there reunion at the Hotel Monaco in China Town last week. This was my second time at the Hotel Monaco  and as always it is an amazing venue with especially great food! We had a blast rocking this party and heard some great story's from the Howard class of 98'.

Party like it's 1988

This weekend I was a throwback DJ at City Bikes in Adams Morgan for there 25 year anniversary. To stick with the theme I was only spinning tunes from the 80s all night. This was tons of fun and 80s music brings a special energy from the crowd!

Westbrook Elementary School Social

This was my second year doing the annual Westbrook graduation social. I brought my full light set up this year and we had all of the kids and their parents dancing to everything from Billie Jean to Boogie Shoes to Black Eyed Peas and everything  in between. I was impressed with the energy of the crowd and had tons of fun.  The party went on till 11:00 I packed my gear and then drove straight to the beach. This was definitely a busy weekend but well worth it.

After Prom

With around 700 kids from 12am to 4am this after prom at Blaire HS was so much fun. Through out their whole school they had giant inflatables from mechanical bulls to a huge moon bounce that had lazer tag inside set up everywhere. I was set up in the cafeteria with a dance floor in front of me as well as food and poker tables set up to add to the carnival/casino theme.  Definitely a very high energy fun evening I worked along side with entertainment avenue who did the carnival and casino theme they were great to work with together I hope we made a night to remember for the students.

Quinceañera

​This past weekend TatemTunes was DJing at the Pooks Hill Marriott in Bethesda, MD. This was my first time at this Marriott and it was great! This Quinceañera had about 150 guests and the guests were dancing all night to everything from Salsa music to Pitbull to Avicii. The night was tons of fun and had a big range of genres which kept everyone on there feet.

Fashion Show

This weekend I DJed the Red Hue Boutique fashion show.  It was much different than the events im used to but I had a great time and the event was a great success.

City Bikes Customer Appriciation Day

This past Saturday I DJed outside the City Bikes in Chevy Chase for their customer appreciation day. This was tons of fun it ended up being a beautiful day outside. City Bikes had a kids ride set up in the parking lot had bike repair stands outside and a cook out.  It was a change from the typical private events inside at night but over all I had a great time meeting new people.

Bar Mitzvah @ Public Bar in Tenley Town

This weekend I DJed a Bar Mitzvah at Public Bar in Tenley Town. This was a very unique location they rented out the top floor of the sports bar with TV's along all the walls and arcade games and an outside deck. I had blast DJing this Bar Mitzvah and loved the venue.

School Dance (bRAVE)

This weekend I was hired to do the light show for the Whitman Highs School "bRAVE" fundraiser. bRAVE is a 7 hour danceathon to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This year 800 people came out to raise a total of $20,000. This has been one of my favorite events to be a part of!

50s Sock Hop

Had a great time with the queen of the hop! This past weekend I Djed a 50s themed party we truly did rock around the clock we all had a blast! Definitely not the music I am used to playing but I'm starting to like the Grease soundtrack!
